Innovation and synergies in Verona
The MGI Group confirms its innovative dimension and opens its doors to technology with Virtual Reality. Capturing the beauty of Apuan marbles has never been easier.
Thus, on the occasion of the fair devoted to the lithic sector, the ambitious project is to offer a new and innovative way of approaching the Quarries of the Carrara and Massa mining basins by making immersive videos that allow the enhancement of the sites through virtual tours.
At Hall 9 / Booth C6 the visor will be available: once worn, it allows the user to disconnect from the reality that surrounds him/her and project him/her into that of the walls and marble benches while enjoying a completely new experience. It is possible, in fact, to feel oneself inside a 'lunar' landscape, unique in the world, the scene of small and big stories engraved in stone, and to see what interests one most without having to submit to a static mode of content enjoyment, but rather with adynamic experience.
Safety is the key word. Observing the rules and visiting 'remotely' protects against potentially safety-relevant situations and thus allows the most critical and interesting moments to be appreciated with peace of mind: the detachment and tipping of bank, the execution of cutting holes on the quarry face, the cutting of blocks upstream and squaring, and the handling, use and maneuvering of earth-moving machines. VR is particularly attractive for virtually expanding the exhibition space by making it more interesting and digitally connecting it to hard-to-access places.
Apuan marbles are world-renowned for beauty and quality. MGI therefore offers a convenient exploration of these exclusive materials quarried in quarries it has owned since 1948: CAVA ROCCHETTA (Massa) where the prestigious Statuario Caldia®, Calacatta Caldia® and the imaginative Cal'dor® are quarried, and CAVA N°79 Carbonera Fantiscritti that holds the classic Bianco Carrara, Lapys Grey®, Silver MGI, Bardiglio Nuvolato, marbles ranging from white to more or less intense gray nuances. The project was created in collaboration with Opera 21 Studio 3D and Digital Architecture. Link to the Instagram page operaventuno
The novelties do not end there. MGI will also be present with a new exhibition area in corridor D575 - corresponding to the outdoor spaces in front of Hall 11 - entirely dedicated toExtra Quality Blocks .
