FEATURES

This material is found only in one of our quarries in Carrara. It has a fine grain and an elegant, very uniform light gray background with directional white stripes and fine, well-directed black veins. Because of these characteristics, Lapys ^Grey® marble is ideal for recreating refined and elegant designs for both floor and wall coverings.

MAIN USES.

Because of the texture and color, this marble creates homogeneity for both interior and exterior use. ASTM tests performed on the material showed low water absorption and high compressive and abrasion resistance; used both as private and public/urban building furnishings, given its resistance to weathering, it is therefore particularly suitable for applications in areas exposed to freeze-thaw cycles and in surfaces with high foot traffic. One can admire the performance of this material in the floors of the Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards and the lobby of 645 Madison Avenue.
