We will be present at the Big 5 Construct Egypt Hall 1 - Stand 1I49 as part of the ICE - Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies collective exhibition, which will be held in Cairo, June 19-21, 2023.
Innovation, craftsmanship and eco-sustainability: these are the key words that guide MGI, which presents itself at the event with the aim of making an increasingly wide audience familiar with the marbles extracted in its own quarries: from the precious and unmistakable Statuario Caldia® and Calacatta Caldia® to Bianco Carrara and Lapys Grey®, from Perlato Sicilia Cofano® to Riviera Beige®, from Botticino Classico® to Verde Issorie®, all represent the quintessence of the "Made in Italy" brand as a symbol of beauty, excellence and unparalleled reliability. And they bear witness to the ambition to enhance the image of Italian marble by offering products of superior quality.
Egypt's construction sector looks set for another year of growth driven by the country's urbanization needs, despite disruptions in the materials supply chain. In fact, a compound annual growth rate of 6.6 percent is expected between 2023 and 2025, and production will reach $44.34 billion by 2025. Given the large population and the need to modernize the country's infrastructure system, there are a number of opportunities for long-term projects in the construction sector. Egypt also has the advantage of being an attractive market in the MENA region for international investors. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has invested more than $9.2 billion in 144 projects throughout the country, including the upcoming Alexandria Metro project. An opportunity, therefore, not to be missed, with great visibility. The last edition (2022) was attended by about 300 exhibitors from 21 countries, covering an area of 20,000.
"We believe that the construction industry as a whole should be in line with sustainable development that puts human well-being and environmental protection first. This is our focus, we have also just concluded with the PNA network the first LCA study of the Italian natural stone sector in which it emerges that the impact of stone slab on climate change is competitive under the banner of certified sustainability," said Paolo Agonigi, CEO MGI.
