With the statuette presented to CEO Gaspare Lucchese and Michele Caruso by Assomarmi Trapani President Gianni Castiglione, Sicilmarmi receives the important "Trapani that produces" award for distinguishing itself and for its commitment to the promotion and development of local entrepreneurship.
A long history that began in Sicily in 1948 when Cavaliere del Lavoro Giacomo Caruso first had the intuition to extract Perlato Sicilia Cofano® marble in the quarry of Custonaci (TP). A constantly growing story that joins that of Marmi e Graniti d'Italia, also part of the solid MGI Group that has been a leader in the Italian stone industry for more than 70 years. On stage in Piazza Riviera, the Saturno Award ceremony opened with institutional greetings from Custonaci City Councilor Irene Marceca and a video from Bishop Monsignor Pietro Maria Fragnelli.
The award, dedicated to Made in Sicily excellence, is promoted by broadcaster Telesud in collaboration with the Trapani Chamber of Commerce, now in its 16th year.
